Stephenville City Electric, Inc has been in business for over 60 years. It is our desire and goal to maintain and operate a first rate electrical contracting company with the quality of work and ethics that keep customers turning to us for all their electrical needs.History of City Electric
City Electric was established in Stephenville, TX in 1949 by Mr. E.L. Stephens. Mr. Stephens molded the company into a top notch business that soon built a reputation as being a good dependable electrical contractor. Mr. Stephens owned and operated the successful business for 33 years after opening it’s door. However,after 33 years, Mr Stephens decided to hang up his tool belt and sell the business to someone he felt could maintain the same quality of work and ethics that Mr. Stephens had put all those years into building. Mr. David Bragg was that man.
In 1982, Mr. Stephens asked Mr. Bragg to buy the company. Of course, David thought that this was the opportunity of a lifetime to own such a well-established company and jumped at the chance.
In 1986, David felt that the growing successful company needed to broaden it’s horizons some, so he incorporated the electric company under the name “Stephenville City Electric, Inc.”
Since 1982, David has managed not only to maintain the same level of excellence that Mr. Stephens had originally established, but also to further expand and mold the company into a business to be proud of.
